WPP Acquires Canadian Advertising Agency john st.

Let's Make A DealSince 2011, Toronto-based john st has been the top agencies across Canada, and today marks a new day as they have just been acquired by the largest communications service group WPP. The agency was founded in 2001 and currently employees 100 people  with unaudited revenues for the year ended 31 December 2012 of approximately $14.0 million, with gross assets at the same date of $5.5 million.

Collectively WPP and its brands represent revenue of US $450 million and employs more than 2,500 people in Canada. WPP companies
represented in the market include JWT, Ogilvy, GroupM, Hill+Knowlton Strategies and Burson-Marsteller.
