WPP Hits Lowest Point Since 1999, Will Other Ad Agencies Suffer?

Advertising agency WPP sent out a press release this morning reporting on their Preliminary Results. Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP went on to say:

“2017 for us was not a pretty year, with flat like-for-like, top-line growth, and operating margins and operating profits also flat, or up marginally.

Earnings: Postmedia Reports $28.4 Million Fourth Quarter Loss

Postmedia Network reported their quarter end results as of August 31, 2012 late last week which unfortunately came with a $28.4 million net loss, compared to a $0.4 million in the same period last year. Part of the challenge for the struggling newspaper chain is a a non-cash loss on a debt repayment of $9.2 million.


Earnings: Transcontinental Increases Revenues By 8% In Third Quarter

The pieces continue to come together for Transcontinental as they reported their third quarter earnings and stated an 8% revenue growth for the quarter, from $479.4 million to $517.0 million. The growth was driven primarily by the acquisition of Quad/Graphics Canada, Inc. and Redux Media.
President and Chief Executive Officer, François Olivier also said he expects to see the fruits of the Redux Media acquisition

Earnings: Score Media Reports Q3 2012, Digital Continues To Grow

Score Media reported their third quarter earnings for the period ending May 31, 2012 last week, revenues were $12.7 million compared to $13.1 million in the three months ended May 31, 2011. Of course digital was a big part of their growth with $1.1 million compared to $0.8 million for the same period the year prior as they were able to monetize their platform across Canada and the United States.
