It is official – after months of speculation, conversations and hunting Facebook has named a new head of operations at Facebook Canada.
Starting in the new year, Garrick Tiplady will take the helm as the new Managing Director for Facebook Canada. He becomes the third person in the role since the “media company” expanded into Canada.
Most recently Garrick was CEO of video distribution company Vemba. Before that Co-Founder and Partner at VSBLTY; and before this he spent six years at Rogers in various roles including Senior Vice President, Customer Base Management and Online Channels; Senior Vice President, Customer Experience; and Senior Vice President, Chat’r Wireless.
In the role Garrick will report to Nada Stirratt who is Facebook’s Vice President of Global Marketing Solutions in North America. Garrick takes over for Jordan Banks who left the role back in May 2017, and Louise Clements was tapped as the first person to run Facebook’s operations in Canada.
