CBC & Fullscreen Unit On Multi-Year Digital Media Partnership

rp_CBC-150x150.jpgCBC and Fullscreen announced a new multi-year digital media partnership today, the CBC|Fullscreen Creator Network will aim to empower the next generation of storytellers in Canada. The partnership will allow the broadcaster to extend its audience reach, national footprint and sales opportunities with Fullscreen’s extensive expertise in developing and supporting digital content creators to build a best-in-class Creator Network in the Canadian marketplace. Canadian creators who are part of the network will be provided the tools and support they need to amplify their content and reach new audiences across the country through CBC, YouTube, and other distribution platforms.

At launch, more than 2000 Canadian-based content creators in all genres currently working with Fullscreen will become part of the CBC|Fullscreen Creator Network, with more to join throughout the coming months. Globally, the Fullscreen network features more than 70,000 creators with 600 million subscribers.

“This new partnership will allow CBC to deepen its leading digital relationship with audiences by supporting this emerging group of Canadian YouTube stars,” said Heather Conway, Executive Vice-President, CBC English Services. “We’re excited to bring this new opportunity to brands that are looking to authentically connect with Canadians at scale. Fullscreen is the ideal partner for CBC to help enable our digital strategy and continue to deliver on our mandate for all Canadians.”

The partnership will also create premium, scalable sponsorship opportunities for advertisers to build their brands through unique and authentic content integrations and custom solutions. The CBC|Fullscreen Creator Network will assist both advertisers and creators reach their mutual objectives through strategically-aligned production of original branded video content across multiple programming genres, brand amplification in social networks and more.
