Taxi CanadaWPP owned advertising agency Young & Rubicam (Y&R) is folding its brand under sister agency Taxi Canada, with both agencies operating under the Taxi brand with its office located in downtown Toronto.  Y&R also has offices in Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal will remain unaffected by the change.

The move is an attempt by the agency to consolidate operations in Toronto as they look for new ways to improve its service to clients according to Taxi’s President Rob Guenette.

With the combining of the two agencies there will be some redundancies, which will most likely have some impact on Taxi’s approximate 225 employees in Canada.
