Intel Acquires Montreal’s PasswordBox

As they continue to expand n their interest in security solution, Intel acquired Montreal-based PasswordBox for an undisclosed sum.  PasswordBox makes a cross-platform identity management service which allows users to store their passwords for easier and safer access.

PasswordBox was founded in  2012, with 48 employees and headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. All current employees have joined Intel Security. The company had secured $6 million in VC funding led by OMERS Ventures in 2013.PasswordBox
