As the battle for the living room continues to heat up, California-based Vizio which was launched in 2002 has now set its sights on Canada for its next market to enter. The company which competes with other electronics manufactures such as LG Electronics and Song has selected Future Shop as they partner to assist in what is the brands biggest expansion to date. As part of the plan, Future Shop recently help a media event where they provided an introduction to the product line and held demos conducted by Future Shop’s Geek Squad to any technical questions.
The event was led by Elliot Chun, Communications Manager for Future Shop who eluded to this being a big engagement for the two brands, and timely well as it fits into Future Shop’s annual home theatre month where the giant retailer promotes all products related to that category during the month of September. Jason Abrams, Director of Televisions, Best Buy Canada and Future Shop was also on hand to talk about a specific campaign being launched by Vizio which will include digital and television commercials being aired across Canada all in preparation for the official launch on September 12th. The commercials will air in both English and French, below is one the brand created for the US market.
Lily Knowles, Vice President of Marketing, VIZIO was also on hand to share other components of the partnership and campaign which include a branded store held on Future Shop’s website where consumers can find product information, access videos and of course purchase any of Vizio’s televisions or sound bars.
