Young Drivers Winter Driving Site Image 2As they kick off the New Year, Young Drivers of Canada launched their “My Funniest or Worst Winter Driving Story” contest where winners can win one of twelve Winter Driving Packages that include an online tutorial and in-car driving lessons.  The program covers everything from skid prevention and control, how to drive in snow, what to do if you hit black ice, how to use your ABS brakes properly and more.  The winners will have a chance to go in-vehicle with an experienced and patient winter driving Instructor who can show them invaluable defensive driving techniques.  The site also holds information and videos for both new and experienced drivers to combat the unpredictable winter road conditions.

The website www.ydwinterdriving.com went live back in December to provide information for both new and experienced drivers that will help them battle the unpredictable winter road conditions safely.   The site also includes an online winter driving quiz and winter driving tips. The tips are designed to help drivers prepare for poor winter driving conditions, teach them how to anticipate problems and give them access to defensive driving solutions.

Torontonians are invited to share their story via a video or written post through Facebook and use the hashtag #ydwinterdriving.  We all share our roads so whether you were behind the wheel, a passenger, cyclist or pedestrian, your winter driving story is welcome.
