Harvey Carroll Appointed CEO Of Canada At IPG Mediabrands

Harvey CarrolIPG Mediabrands has announced today the appointment of Harvey Carroll as CEO of the Canadian operation.  In his new role, Harvey will drive the strategic vision for the Canadian business, have overall responsibility for client service excellence, deepening existing client relationships and driving both new business and organic growth. Carroll is based in Toronto and reports directly to Guy Beach, COO, IPG Mediabrands, North America.

Mediabrands Canada consists of six agencies: UM, Initiative, Orion, Cadreon, Reprise and M2.  Under the recent leadership of Peter Mears (named Media Director of the Year 2012), the Canadian business has become the fifth largest in the world for Mediabrands — after the US, UK, Germany and Australia.  Over the past two years, Mediabrands Canada has significantly increased its revenue and grown in size to over 270 people.

Prior to joining, Harvey was President and Partner for the last five years at Grip Limited. Prior to that, Harvey served as Vice President of Marketing, North America for InBev, and held several strategic roles at Interbrew (Labatt Breweries of Canada) as well as Kraft General Foods of Canada, Inc.
