Molson Coors Canada just announced they have selected Leo Burnett Canada as their agency of record to handle Coors Light. In June, Molson had announced the re-assignment of the brand managed by BBDO Canada. The decision was made in light of the recent business decision involving BBDO USA and a competitive brand assignment in the US market.
According to a the statement:
Last month, the brewer“We had discussions with a very short list of agencies whom we believe to be among the best in Canada,” confirmed Peter Nowlan, Chief Commercial Officer for Molson Coors Canada. “Leo Burnett will bring a wealth of experience to the table as they take over the reins to move our business forward through creative excellence. I’m excited to work in partnership with such a talented group as we continue to surprise, delight and entertain Canadian drinkers.”
