Let's Make A DealIt has been quite some times since we’ve written about iotum, which was founded by Alec Sauders, the guy who’s evangelizing Blackberry’s developer community and currently the Vice President of Developer Relations.  Since then the company has moved on and now run by James Martin who serves as President and CEO of the online collaboration and conference calling services company.  This week iotum has  announced the acquisition of Global Conference Partners (GCP), a portfolio company of American Capital. In addition to FreeConference.com, the transaction includes InstantConference.com, GlobalConference.com and several other international brands. Financial terms were not disclosed.

iotum is looking to leverage the assets to help them further expand their online conference services and will focus on integration of the Freeconference.com solution created by GCP.
