Jackman announced the addition of four new staff to the Toronto-based agency, as they look to expand their global offering. Karla Congson has joined as Vice President, Brand Planning where she will oversee the Brand Planning function as well as contribute to leadership of selected engagements. Previously Karla was with Young & Rubicam Canada as Executive Vice-President and Business Leader responsible for the stewardship of the Ford brand in Canada. During her time with Y&R, Karla was responsible for the strategy and activation of Ford of Canada’s integrated marketing communications. Prior to Y&R Canada, Karla founded Blue Sky Marketing, and acted as Vice-President of Marketing & Communications for AIM Trimark.
Arnaud Van de Voorde has been hired as Vice President, Digital and will oversee the integration of mobile, digital and social media strategy within customer experience, and guide all aspects of digital experience and implementation for Jackman’s engagement partners. Arnaud joins Jackman from CGI where he was Director of Internet Consulting Services. Prior to CGI, Arnaud acted as Director, Strategy & eCommerce at ThinkWrap Solutions, Inc., and as General Manager, Web Solutions, at Bell Canada Enterprise.
Joanne Balles joins as Reinvention Leader, and will be spearheading a new reinvention engagement in the women’s fashion category, guiding leadership and a multi-discipline team through Jackman’s reinvention process, and overseeing all aspects of brand development and activation. Joanne is the Former President of Bruce Mau Design, where she championed strategic branding and business design programs for industry leaders including Coca-Cola, MTV Networks, the New York Jets, Herman Miller and Indigo. Prior to Bruce Mau Design, Joanne was President of Perennial Design.
Amanda Stassen has been hired as an Innovation Architect and will champion innovation efforts, working with multi-disciplinary teams to bring new and exciting ideas and opportunities to life – and to market – for Jackman’s engagement partners. Most recently Amanda acted as Principal and Chief Possibilities Officer with BIZU Corp. Amanda’s held multiple senior positions at Holt Renfrew Corp., most recently as Divisional Vice President, Marketing Services, and has also acted as Innovation Insight Manager and Brand manager with a number of leading retail organizations, including Canadian Tire, Mattel Canada and Club Monaco.
