Quebec Courtrooms Become Twittter-Free Zones

Judge JudyThe hammer has come down in the province of Quebec this week as a new ruling governing the use of electronic communications and technology come into effect which in effect will ban the use of Twitter.  The social network is not alone, as emails and text messages have also been band from being used to community in courtrooms without the consent of a judge, although lawyers and journalists will be able to use the electronic devices for taking notes.

At this point in time this ruling only applies to Quebec, other provinces have different degrees on this ruling and it is a province by province based scenario.
