AOL Canada Adds Social Features To MapQuest

MapQuestWhen AOL Canada brought its map solution MapQuest to Canada back in May 2011 it raised some doubts, but apparently the sites been getting 1.4 million Canadians visiting the online property despite strong rivals such as Google Maps. Today, AOL Canada has announced the launch of MapQuest Discover, a social platform for travel related content.  Leveraging on consumer’s desire to share content, MapQuest Discover allows users to create personal pages with curated locations, events, and destinations and will also allow users to follow one another, browse popular feeds, favourite and share their collections on social networks.
