Thanks to the Ariad Communications team, three new web properties have received a makeover – Free The Children, We Day and Me to We. Ariad was given the goal of creating an exceptional audience experience. The first step taken was to craft a content strategy and new information architecture, each site supports up-to-the-minute content publishing year-round, ensuring that the right content surfaces at the right time during the audience experience.
From a design perspective, Ariad utilized responsive design practices to ensure optimal browsing across a wide range of platforms. By using a consistent, complimentary approach to design Ariad built all three sites on a robust, customized Content Management System. This allows for easy, instant updates and daily site management. Easy, instant updating frees up the Free The Children team to focus on initiatives other than site administration.
Free The Children co-founder Marc Kielburger says: “We are pleased to have Ariad’s continued support. The quality of the work is exceptional — the talented team at Ariad has shared their invaluable strategic insight, digital expertise, and creative passion with us in building three sites that will help us make even more of a positive difference for young people around the world.”
The new sites — www.freethechildren.com, www.metowe.com and www.weday.com — have already had a significant impact on site traffic, with key indicators – site traffic, page views and unique visitors – up by 30-40%.
Suzanne Burrows, Senior Account Director, Ariad commented, “What’s important is not just that the sites look great and deliver interesting, relevant content. The new sites are already having a positive impact for Free The Children. A site that’s easier to administer and draws more visitors means greater operational efficiency and will ultimately help their fundraising efforts.”
