Yellow Pages Group (YPG) and Yahoo! Canada announced an expansion to their existing partnership which is aimed to deliver Yahoo! Canada users with an enhanced local search experience. Last week YPG announced its plans for a “massive re-org to embrace the digital world,” which sounds like YPG is truly looking to make as many moves as possible to become digitally relevant and move away from their legacy print days.

As part of the partnership, Canadian surfers will now have access to an enhanced surfing experience and can now get access to more details on local businesses including hours of operations, photos, videos, ratings and reviews – providing an improved experience for users who are looking for the information that’s most relevant to them based on their location.

Rumours had surfaced recently that a search partnership was in the works between Facebook and Yahoo, but Facebook has since gone on record stating there is no deal in the works.
