The world is becoming increasingly accustomed to storing information from documents, files, photos and more, we will also require more secure methods to ensure both consumer and corporate trust that our information is safe.  With offices in Waterloo and Halifax, startup TitanFile announced it has closed $1.1M in financing to roll out their new professional file sharing and collaboration product in the market. Participants in the financing round are Innovacorp – Nova Scotia’s early-stage venture capital organization, members of the First Angel Network, and others.

“We have seen magnificent traction within our pilot deployments,” said Co-Founder and CEO Milan Vrekic. “We are very excited about releasing the product to the general public.”
TitanFile was selected by the two largest Atlantic Canada law firms, McInnes Cooper and Stewart McKelvey as a secure communication solution with their clients.

TitanFile is a bit late to the game of online document sharing solutions, especially when you look at dominant players such as DropBox and Google Drive, but maybe there is a new angle TitanFile can play down the line.
