It is always a great feeling when your hard work pays off, and that’s the feeling around the Olive Media office this week as the recently took home a 2012 Smarties Award at the MMA Smarties Global Awards Gala in New York City, held on Wednesday night.  Back in April of this year, Olive Media launched a new campaign to promote the Infiniti JX for their client Infiniti Canada, and have now been awarded the Global Bronze award in the tablet category, winning against hundreds of other outstanding contenders from around the world.  The Infiniti Canada/Olive Mobile submission was one of a total of two submissions from Canada to be shortlisted for a Smarties,  an award offered by the Mobile Marketing Association recognizing the accomplishments of the world’s leading companies in the mobile marketing industry.

Olive Mobile’s winning submission was a campaign developed for Infiniti Canada and OMD Canada, in collaboration with TBWA Toronto and Little Room. A global first-of-its-kind, it used the gyroscope technology of the iPad 2 in an ad unit without any download required, removing important barriers to mobile content consumption and delivering a highly innovative creative concept to users with great ease of access. The ad experience placed users inside the car for a virtual tour, allowing them to explore the design and amenities by turning and tilting their device, and promoting user interaction with all of the features the vehicle has to offer from first, second, and third row seating. This was a very successful engaging tablet experience, one that performed incredibly well against industry standards and client objectives.
