As more and more Canadians turn to digital devices (laptops, smartphones, tablets) make their shopping decisions it only makes sense for retailers to try and close that loop, and turn surfers into shoppers. Earlier this week retail and shopper marketing firm SVM and digital solutions expert Piranha announced a strategic partnership that will create the first Canadian-based digital shopper marketing agency, called Digital Connect.
The new company will have offices in both Toronto and Montreal, and will offer from e-commerce solutions and text message offers to mobile apps, digital signage and more, all with the goal of helping manufacturers and retailers to connect consumers with brands and products in a real-time positive shopping experience, say the agency’s founders.
With Digital Connect already having begun working with several high-level retail clients, the agency plans to hire 10 new experts in the coming year.
