LCBO On The Go Mobile App Now Available For The iPhone And BlackBerry

LCBO On The Go, the first official LCBO application for the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Blackberry has been released just in time for the hectic holiday shopping season. The free LCBO app enables users to access information anytime, anywhere about LCBO stores and products and was developed in response to consumer demand for more mobile information. LCBO chose leading Toronto-based mobile marketing agency and mobile application development company, Broadplay Inc. to develop the application.

“This new app enables our customers to quickly and conveniently search out products they are seeking and find the stores that offer them,” said Ewan McNeill, Director, Interactive Customer Experience, LCBO. “This app will be especially appealing as we enter the busy holiday season where we predict customers will more frequently be turning to mobile devices for assistance in selecting and locating gifts with confidence.”

An increasing number of brands have develop  store-specific apps for the 2011 holiday season. Going beyond the standard features of a retail application, LCBO On The Go is a free app that not only allows users to browse or search through thousands of products but also provides inventory levels, serving suggestions and tasting notes. The store locator feature helps users to find the closest location by GPS or postal code and save favorite stores for quick access. The app will surely save customers time and hassle. resulting in less crowded LCBO locations during the busy holiday season and year round.

LCBO On The Go can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and through the Blackberry App World.
