As Vancouver-based Hootsuite continues their growth path as one of the web’s dominate social media dashboards, it made its fifth acquisition this week. This time acquiring Geotoko, which allows users to manage location-based marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, such as Foursquare, Facebook Places, Twitter and Gowalla. The solution also provides real-time analytics, and a heatmap feature to track a user’s movements. Geotoko also taps into various API’s to provide checkins, comments and photos information for the campaign.
The other Hootsuite acquisitions to date are What the Trend, Twapper Keeper, TwitterBar and Swift App.
