Advertising agency Proximity Canada has had their share of shifts when it come to employees over the last few months both in good and bad ways. Back in May of this year, Andrew Bailey announced he’s taking a more senior role within the agency and will be making the move down to New York, and Dave Lafond took over as President. Last month Matt Di Paola announced with us that he’s leaving the agency, but hasn’t officially announced where he’s going to (we’re guessing on the media buying side). Now Proximity Canada has announced some new leadership coming to the table with three new additions.
Christina Hill joins Proximity Canada from TAXI, where she spent the last six years in various capacities including starting up the Calgary office; Managing Director at TAXI 2; and most recently General Manager at TAXI 1 on TELUS. An integrated thinker, Hill holds over 15 years experience working with an impressive client list including WestJet, General Motors, J&J, Shoppers Drug Mart, Nokia and Moosehead Breweries.
Ricky Jacobs’ career spans 11 years in digital and social marketing at a range of digital shops including Cossette, Y&R, and Publicis Modem. With a unique blend of digital strategy and business leadership, Jacobs has led a variety of assignments for clients including Ford, Bell, Rogers, LG, Nestle, Purina, Axa, Home Depot, Walmart, Purolator, and Kia. He is an active member of the digital community with a keen interest in innovative technology and emerging platforms.
The final addition is Jeff Sangster, a 20 year technology vet who joins Proximity to help expand its Technology Practice. He spent eight years at TD Bank where he launched the EasyWeb online banking financial system and WebBroker trading solutions. He also worked agency-side for the last 12 years at shops including Grip Limited, Henderson Bas, and Publicis. Sangster has worked across a number of industries with clients including Molson Coors, Labatt, ING, CIBC, Rogers, Bell, Honda, Acura, Expedia, Nike, Lululemon, LG, Nestle and Purina.
