Week That Was – 2007-07-06

Usually around this time every year we see a slow down in business, but there doesn’t seem to any signs of that as we look at the online world across Canada and around the world.

I wonder how long it will be before someone launches www.googleacquisitions.com? Google was at it again last week with their latest acquisition of Grand Central which is “a company that provides services for managing your voice communications. GrandCentral is an innovative service that lets users integrate all of their existing phone numbers and voice mailboxes into one account.” They have also made the fist significant move with an earlier FeedBurner which they acquired earlier in the spring by giving away the paid “Pro” options to users of the blog syndication service away for free. Things were pretty quiet from the Microsoft and Yahoo front though.
Here are some of the other industry stories and news that we talked about in this edition of The Week That Was.
