Transcontinental Interactive And WIND Mobile Launch New Messaging Service

Transcontinental Interactive announced today a new partnership with WIND Mobile that will offer WIND customers new SMS and MMS messaging services to help with their daily needs.  The new services announced included will allow for customers on the wireless network to subscribe to include transportation short codes for the TTC in Toronto and TransLink in Vancouver, Airport information for both Toronto Pearson International Airport and Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport as well as news alerts from CBC.

With Apple’s recent announcement of their pending iMessage service that could essentially by-pass the need to involve carriers in the message process, a partnership between by WIND mobile is a smart move to help them ensure stay one step ahead of the pack.
