The summer’s over and its time to get back to school, sorry to break the bad news but it is time to get back to work, or in the case of students and new grads it is time to start your career. TalentEgg.ca has just relaunched their site, as part of the change they have also entered into a partnership with learnhub.com which will provide GMAT and GRE testprep resources to users. The revamped site also now includes a number of additional career resources and a lifestyle section. The site is also leveraging and integrating social networking tools, job seekers can also now bookmark their favourite companies’ profiles for later, share profiles and job opportunities with friends on social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Digg.
“Our goal at TalentEgg is and always has been to help students make a successful transition from school to work,” says TalentEgg founder and president Lauren Friese, “and in order to do that, we’re constantly innovating to improve the experience for students, employers, as advertisers.”
TalentEgg has also incorporated “vanity URLs” which allow users to set up a specific URL similar to what we’ve seen popular social networking site Facebook add recently where users can create a customer URL to be found easier such as the one I set up for myself at www.facebook.com/daveforde. Smart move on TalentEgg’s part as this will help with search engine ranking that will make it easier for students to be found on the Internet. TalentEgg.ca was originally launched in April 2008.
