Ontario Venture Capital Fund Invests $20 Million To Job Creation

A portion of the $250 million Ontario Venture Capital Fund is being allocated further job creation for Ontario’s high-tech sector. Toronto-based EdgeStone is investing $20 million of the fund that is managed by TD Capital Private Equity Investors and a joint venture between the provincial government and leading institutional investors.
Minister of Research and Innovation John Wilkinson added, “In these tough economic times it is important to give Ontario’s cutting-edge companies the support they need to grow and succeed right here at home. By supporting innovative Ontario ideas and high-growth technology companies today, we are helping to create the products, services and jobs that will drive our economy in the future.”
