In a bit of good news for Canadian technophiles, LG has announced that it’s new Optimus LTE Superphone will be launching exclusively with Bell. Banking on the strength of Bell’s 4G network and the Optimus LTE’s new 4.5″ True HD IPS Display, the partners are definitely pinning their hopes for the device on the penetration of mobile TV.
The Optimus LTE will come pre-loaded with Bell TV and run Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The Bell 4G LTE network is available in Toronto, Mississauga, Guelph, Halifax and a few other zones across Canada, so we’ll see soon enough if the combination of a brilliant display and 4G speeds are enough to win over customers.
A launch date hasn’t been announced, but it looks like we can expect to see it “in the coming weeks.”
