iotum and JAJAH give Blackberry users more

iotumFor years Alec Saunders has been talking about “Voice 2.0″, a world of cheaper and easier voice communication solutions.  Ever since 2003 he and his team at iotum have been working hard to make it easier for people with mobile devices to communicate better. Earlier this year they a gave Blackberry users Talk-Now, which allows users to see who’s available to talk and share their availability with contacts of their choosing. iotum has now formed a strategic alliance with JAJAH to deliver new capabilities to mobile users and further their shared vision of the future for Internet telephony and mobility. JAJAH offers a solution that gives users free or low-cost phone calls from regular phones.

Saunders says, “Initially, our collaboration means that iotum Talk-Now users will have one-click access to JAJAH for all their contacts. In the future, iotum will release other ‘New Presence’-enabled applications in conjunction with JAJAH, such as PIN-less, mobile conferencing.”

I’ve had a chance to sit with Alec and check out their application and it is really easy to use, unfortunately for me the current Blackberry model I have isn’t supported – time for an upgrade.
