Hitwise Says Canadians Love Quick Searches

Since their recent announcement of their expansion into Canada, Hitwise has been quickly building up their measurement data of the Canadian online landscape.  According to Heather Hopkins, Senior Online Analyst at Hitwise in a 12 week time leading up to May 30, 2009 51.56% of Canadian search terms contained one or two words.

From the chart above we can see a breakdown of the number of keywords used by Canadian, US and UK users.  Based on the data Canadians tend to use one or two words when using a search engine.  You almost have to wonder, are Canadians lazy or are they just that damn on the ball to know exactly what words get the results they want when searching?
