Former Colour VP Launches New Agency

Over this past year we’ve seen many things that have disrupted the “traditional” agency-client model. One of the newest players looking to looking to fill the gap is Kula Partners. A new Halifax-based agency headed up for Carman Pirie, Former VP of Social Media at Colour, and Jeff White, Founder of Brightwhite Design Group.

“The explosive growth of social media and the extent that it connects us to each other means that organizations must now look at the traditional disciplines of marketing, public relations, and customer service in a fundamentally different way,” says Pirie. “We see it as the difference between marketing that uses tools that are available these days and marketing built for the way the world works these days.”

The agency will provide expertise in three key areas: social media marketing, web design and development, and content planning and creation. As part of the the agency’s new approach they are looking to shift away from an advertising-centric approach to marketing towards one focused on growing brands by finding useful ways of connecting people to each other.
