Canpages Forms Strategic Partnership With Phone Directories Company, North American Reach With Local Search Results

One thing that was quite evident in 2009 was that the world of publishing has changed forever, many publishers have taken to the web to attempt to gain lost revenues.  Vancouver-based Canpages made a number of investments last year as they acquired assets after asset to keep their market share.  In their latest move Canpages has announced a new partnership with Utah-based Phone Directories Company (PDC).

With the new partnership between Canpages and PDC, Canpages will be able to leverage PDC’s US footprint and existing sales force.

“For more than a year, Canpages.ca has experienced a 20 per cent month-over-month growth in digital revenues- even during difficult economic times,” said Olivier Vincent, CEO of Canpages. “Our relationship with PDC will allow us to tap into the huge US market, PDC’s 120,000-plus current customers, and also enable us to optimize organizational efficiencies and best practices across both companies to deliver greater value and digital innovation to North American advertisers and consumers.”

Canpages has been aggressively building up the offering over the last year, and the company has been making a number of acquisitoins such as GigaPark, and ZipLocal in 2009.
