On The MoveAs they spring into the good weather, DARE Vancouver has announced several new hires and promotions with the west coast advertising agency this week.
The agency has hired Mathew Stockton as the new Director of Client Services. Stockton, a Canadian who has spent the past two decades in the UK, is an inventive and passionate leader who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with global brands.

Having held leadership roles at Saatchi and Saatchi X and Publicis, Stockton was most recently the Global Brand Director at Geometry Global in London, where he oversaw work for clients including Bacardi-Martini.

Other additions to the agency include the appointment of Chris Kleiter to Group Account Director. Chris comes to DARE from the prairies where he was Director of Account Services at Kinetic Design in Saskatoon. He has ten years of experience in client services across Canada and is responsible for overseeing the MTS account, as well as new business initiatives.

Kaya Wiggens also joins the agency as the new Group Account Director to oversee Destination BC, BCLC and BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. Previously, she held senior roles with Identica and Cossette and was Senior Brand Manager at BCLC. Most recently, she was the Director of Marketing and Business Development with renowned architectural firm Henriquez Partners, where she helped expand the company’s international profile and drive global projects.

On the creative side, the agency welcomes Art Director Darcy Twarog, formerly of Taxi West where he worked on campaigns for Telus and WestJet and creative duo Greg Kieltyka (Copywriter) and Jacob Gauthier (Art Director). Kieltyka and Gauthier were formerly with McLaren McCann in Vancouver where they previously worked on campaigns for WorkBC, Cathay Pacific and Vancouver Planetarium together.

Within the agency, Catherine Piercy has been promoted to Vice President and Director of Planning. Piercy will oversee planning and strategy for the agency portfolio including brands such as MTS, Destination BC, Money Mart, Go Auto and BCLC.

On the accounts team, Laurel Ledohowski has been promoted to Account Director and was integral in overseeing the brand refresh for Money Mart, as well as expanding the portfolio into the US. DARE has also appointed two new Account Managers: Tiffany Kwong and Pia Campbell. Pia is a new hire hailing from Australia where she worked on campaigns for Perth International Arts Festival, P&N Bank and Landcorp.

Finally, creative partners David Giovando and Todd Takahashi have been elevated to Associate Creative Directors. The pair is most recently known for their work on the highly lauded integrated campaign brand launch for Destination BC.
