Publicis Groupe Continues Buying Spree, Acquires Sapient

SapientPublicis Groupe has just announced that it has agreed to acquire omnichannel marketing technology services Sapient.  The total deal is worth $3.7 billion which is around $25.00 per share in an all-cash transaction at a total valuation which is described as a “merger” and will have Sapient become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Publicis Groupe.

The boards of both entities have approved the deal, and now subject to regulatory approval and would have all three divisions of the companies including SapientNitro, Sapient Global Markets, Sapient Government Service come together to create Publicis.Sapient.

Sapient has a total staff count of 13,000 across 37 global locations.
