With each passing month we continue to see changes within the programmatic space. The big players have launched their own products (TC Media who acquired Redux Media recently launched their Canadian Programmatic Marketplace), independents have launched their own solutions, and agencies have gotten into the game with trading desks. As providers get bigger the next logical step would be the IPO as AcuityAds recently started the process of doing or RocketFuel had a successful one when they first went public.
Everyone is touting that they offer something different which tends to be debated over and over, but what if a merger where to occur in the industry? The picture shown here is of Andrew Casale, VP Strategy at Casale Media and Alex Gardner, VP, Index (division of Casale Media) wearing t-shirts during last year’s Olive Media party (yes, our sources say they will be holding it again this year) that say “eyeReturn Marketing.” To be fair, Casale Media lost a bet over a baseball game they played against eyeReturn, but it does pose some interesting questions….
Could Casale Media and eyeReturn Marketing merge in the future?
What would the new company look like?
Who would be in charge and pushing it’s vision into the market place? – Joe Casale? Andrew Casale? Renee Hill?
Could their combined solution be the killer programmatic offering?
