Virgin Mobile and Samsung Canada once again are partnering for the latest Virgin Mobile RE*Generation campaign which is Virgin’s non-profit foundation that is designed to support at-risk and homeless youth. To date, more than $2.5 million has been raised and dispersed to leading youth serving agencies across the country from programs such as Change For A Dollar, Text to Donate, the RE*Generation phone and ongoing benefit concerts.
As part of the latest RE*Generation initiative the phone of choice is the Samsung GALAXY S5, and starting today, $15 from the sale of every Samsung GALAXY S5 bought from Virgin Mobile will help at-risk and homeless youth through Virgin Mobile RE*Generation.
This is the sixth phone in the RE*Generation phone program. Past RE*Generation phones included the Samsung Galaxy Ace II x, Samsung Gravity 3, Samsung Link and Samsung M300. Since its inception in 2008, the program has raised over $1 million to support the lives of at-risk and homeless youth across Canada. Members who’ve already bought a Samsung GALAXY S5 from Virgin Mobile will still be doing some good for at-risk youth, with $15 from their sale retroactively being donated to Virgin Mobile RE*Generation.
“We are very proud to partner with Virgin Mobile and its RE*Generation program for the sixth year in a row,” said Paul Brannen, Senior VP, Enterprise and Mobile Solutions, Samsung Electronics Canada. “Getting Samsung’s newest and most innovative device and at the same time giving back to the community by making a difference in the lives of at-risk and homeless youth are two great reasons to pick up the GALAXY S5 at Virgin Mobile.”
Samsung supports the Virgin Mobile RE*Generation program through Samsung Hope for Children, the company’s philanthropic initiative focused on helping children lead healthier, smarter, and more sustainable lives.
