Cartoon Creating App Bitstrips Secures $3M In Funding

ExecTeamWLogoToronto-based Bitstrips, with is a smartphone app that lets users create cartoon’s of themselves and then share via social media channels recently secured $3 million in funding from Horizons Ventures in Hong Kong. The funds are said to be used to help build out the product and Bitstream’s team headed up by CEO Jacob Blackstock.

The company launched its iOS version of the app at the beginning of October and has seen approximately 30 million avatars created over the last two months.
