Holiday Inn Express Wants To Know, Who's Canada's Smatest?

HIEX_mobile_banner3_PoutineInsulinTooniesAs they roll out their latest campaign, IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) is looking for Canadians to help vote for Canada’s Smartest for a chance to the win a stay at a Holiday Inn Express hotel.  Their “Stay Smart” campaign uses a microsite at SmartvsSmart.ca, an online hub and a Facebook app where consumers are invited to vote for

“Canadians are responsible for many smart inventions, and SmartvsSmart.ca, is a fun and humorous nod to how smart it feels to stay at a Holiday Inn Express hotel,” said Jo Allan, Director of Brands Marketing in the Americas for IHG. “With free breakfast, a choice of pillows, Wi-Fi and properties across the country, Holiday Inn Express are a smart choice for leisure and business travellers alike.”

SmartvsSmart.ca highlights the best home-grown Canadian creations through series of matchups, inviting visitors to vote for Canada’s Smartest. They can also submit their own nominations for the title. Those who register will be eligible to win one of 14 weekly prize packages, which will include a two-night stay at a Holiday Inn Express hotel anywhere in the world.
The site will also feature the Holiday Inn Express brand’s SmartSaver rate designed to help Canadians Stay Smart at Holiday Inn Express hotels across the country. The rate will be available through SmartvsSmart.ca and French-language site DuelIntelligent.ca.
Holiday Inn Express hotels has also partnered with Just For Laughs to encourage Canadians to Stay Smart and laugh this fall at stops made during the JFL Canadian Comedy Tour and during Toronto’s JFL42 Festival.  Based in Montreal, Just for Laughs is a world leader in comedy dedicated to making people happy.
