FUSE Marketing launched a new initiative recently with Humber College which offers sixteen selected marketing and social media students three month internships to assist in promoting the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. We broke the news that TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games selected FUSE as their agency of record back in December 2012.
This is an great opportunity for Humber students as they can roll up their sleeves and get some real work experience, and ideally get hired by FUSE at the end of the program, not to mention possibly meet an international athlete or two.
“The focus of the joint venture with Humber is to make the TORONTO 2015 Games the best attended and most digitally connected Pan Am/Parapan Am Games in history,” said Stephen Brown, president of Fuse Marketing Group Inc. “Humber’s postgraduate marketing programs best fit the project needs. We were looking for the best students and Humber offers a wide range of accomplished students from marketing, sports, social media and public relations.”
Humber College will select candidates from their marketing and social media students who will be offered internships to work on the promotional activities FUSE generates on behalf of the upcoming Games. Over the next two years, the students will participate at all levels of the agency’s involvement. The first students will begin in September 1, 2013 and subsequent participants will be engaged in three-month stints until the end of the Games in August 2015.
