Sony’s Xperia T which also is known as the James Bond phone following its appearance in Skyfall, some of its stand out features include: packing in a 13MP camera, NFC, and Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Sony is pushing this device as the “the ultimate HD experience.”
The Xperia T has a 4.6 inch LCD display with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, which makes it super sharp. It also employs Sony’s Bravia television tech to make for superbly rich colours, deep blacks and great viewing angles. The ergonomics are pretty good too. The side mounted power button falls within easy reach for activating the screen as do the volume controls, and the curvy design sits nicely in the hand. Sony has also conformed to Google’s guidelines and used soft-keys for the main navigation buttons.
To power the phone, Sony has given it a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, which seemed to do a pretty good job of keeping it feeling nippy.
Also helping is that it runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Jelly Bean will be even faster and an update is the works but it won’t be available for a little while yet.

The Sony Xperia T version that we reviewed runs of the Bell network and comes Bell’s Mobile TV included, and uses Bell’s LTE network.
There’s DLNA support and NFC on board too. And the micro-USB connector supports HDMI – however, you’ll need to buy an adaptor to take advantage. There is 16GB of built-in memory.
Overall the Sony Xperia T is a great phone, but could use more standard memory and a longer lasting battery.
