Now that the new Microsoft’s Windows 8 has hit the market, publishers everywhere will be developing and launch apps on the new software platform.  The Huffington Post Canada (HuffPost Canada) has teamed up with Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) and launched The Huffington Post Canada Windows 8 app, along with a marketing activation; which gives passersby a chance to interact with the app on the big screen in key locations in three cities across the country. The Huffington Post Canada app is currently available for download at the Windows 8 app store.

Interactive digital boards, provided by Monster Media, an international, full-service media company specializing in digital-out-of-home (DOOH) advertising, are live in key locations, including Toronto’s Union Station, Calgary South Centre Mall, Vancouver City Centre subway station and, starting mid November, at Toronto Eaton Centre. Commuters and shoppers alike will see the HuffPost Canada Windows 8 app in action and will be able to touch the 6 x 9 foot interactive screens to interact and experience it onsite until the end of November 2012.
