In an effort to drive more eyeballs to their online destination, Yahoo launched Yahoo! Canada Screen this week which will offer Canadians access to original programming and a wide selection of aggregated video content from across the Internet. Yahoo!’s new slate of video content includes critics’ favourite, Burning Love (Paramount Pictures/Red Hour//Abominable Pictures), which features a lineup of celebrity talent and spoofs popular reality television dating shows. Playtone and Reliance Entertainment’s animated series Electric City, created by and starring Tom Hanks, is a new 90- minute action-packed sci-fi adventure series. Documentary film producer Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) has two original series appearing on Yahoo! Canada Screen – Failure Club, which follows seven people as they confront and attempt to conquer their fear of failure; and Mansome, which provides men with the ultimate guide to grooming, survival, cooking and sports.

Canada Screen, Canadians have access to hundreds of thousands of videos and Web shows in a single personalized experience, with a breadth of video categories including News, Sports, Finance, TV, Movies, Lifestyle and Comedy. The site features more than 25 original shows and videos sourced from over 30 partners and news organizations. Each category includes individual show pages and topic pages, all editorially programmed to the most popular and interesting videos.
