In an effort to drive more eyeballs to their online destination, Yahoo launched Yahoo! Canada Screen this week which will offer Canadians access to original programming and a wide selection of aggregated video content from across the Internet.  Yahoo!’s new slate of video content includes critics’ favourite, Burning Love (Paramount Pictures/Red Hour//Abominable Pictures), which features a lineup of celebrity talent and spoofs popular reality television dating shows. Playtone and Reliance Entertainment’s animated series Electric City, created by and starring Tom Hanks, is a new 90- minute action-packed sci-fi adventure series. Documentary film producer Morgan Spurlock (Super Size Me) has two original series appearing on Yahoo! Canada Screen – Failure Club, which follows seven people as they confront and attempt to conquer their fear of failure; and Mansome, which provides men with the ultimate guide to grooming, survival, cooking and sports.

“Yahoo! is always looking to provide Canadians with access to the information and digital experiences that matter to them most – whether that is breaking news, the most comprehensive sports and finance coverage, or great digital entertainment,” said Dan Unger, Head of Media Network, Yahoo! Canada. “Increasingly, Canadians are watching their favourite entertainers and original programming online. Yahoo! provides the rich, engaging experience and content that viewers want, no matter where they are or what device they’re using.”
