Back in the fall of 2011, Canada Post hired Kerry Muno and announced a major shift in business as the company divided its structure into two very distinct models, this of course points to some serious plans to be a stronger digital deliver system for Canadians.  Canada Post recently announced the opening of a new contest “Canada Post eCommerce Innovation Awards,” where they will recognize successful innovation in e-commerce in a few areas such as “Best Online Retailer of the Year” and “Best Multi-Channel Retailer of the Year.”

“This time of year, businesses are readying for the holiday season and the possibility of saving advertising and shipping costs can make a significant difference on the bottom line. We want to help further launch these companies as they help build our digital economy,” says René Desmarais, Senior Vice-President, Parcels at Canada Post.

Up to $100,000  in free shipping is up for grabs, and a number of other prizes, you have until the end of October to get your submission in – canadapost.ca/ecommerceawards.
