Montreal’s Wajam announced a new partnership today with eCommerce player Shopping.com,  the two are aiming to deliver more value to consumers across the web as they are looking to do their online shopping. As part of the new partnership, Wajam is launching Wajam Social Shopping, a social comparison shopping feature that lets you bring your friends recommendations with you while you shop. Wajam Shopping gives users product recommendations and social search results from their friends everywhere they shop online. In addition to receiving product pricing, Wajam Shopping offers users alternative shopping destinations from more than 3,500 online merchants through its partnership with Shopping.com.

Wajam?s takes advantage of browser extensions which they launched last year to help deliver social search results everywhere consumers search including Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Amazon, Yelp, Trip Advisor, YouTube and Ebay. The company is not hoping that with the addition of Wajam Shopping, users can now see what their friends have said about products such as smartphones, games, clothing, electronics and much more, while receiving pricing and shopping destinations to get the best deal.
