As the buzz around daily deal sites continues to be saturated, The National Post announced today they have jumped into the pool with the launch of GaggleBiz. The daily deal site is a new partnership with GaggleUp, which targets small and medium sized businesses (SMBs), and will go live on April 2, 2012.
“FP Entrepreneur is a leading resource for Canada’s entrepreneurs to find new ideas and source solutions for growing their businesses. GaggleBiz is a natural fit with our audience,” said Douglas Kelly, Publisher, National Post. “FP Entrepreneur’s audience is always looking for ways to grow profitable businesses. Reducing costs and accessing great deals is good for any business.”
The site is free to join for business owners, who are sent email notifications of the offers available on the site. GaggleBiz’s group buying service aims to offer discounts of up to 90 per cent off products and services for their businesses including hundreds of office supply products, technology support services, computer software, graphic design consultation and marketing assistance.
GaggleBiz also creates an opportunity for non-traditional and smaller advertisers, who may not have big advertising budgets, to generate new revenue streams by creating competitive and unique incentives for SMBs and accelerate client acquisition in the process.
“We are excited to partner with FP Entrepreneur to provide small businesses with discounted products and services that fit their business needs,” said Miriam Tuerk, CEO, GaggleUp. “The relationship with FP Entrepreneur blends an engaged and targeted audience with our commitment to save businesses time and money.”
This represents the second such partnership The National Post has entered in the daily deal space, previously they made some efforts with SwarmJam.
