It is no secret that Microsoft Advertising is starting to do some big things for Canada’s advertising community, so why not find a way to send a select group of brand marketers and advertising agencies from across 30 countries to the ‘mecca’ of advertising events –  Cannes.  They just launched a new contest today where you can submit your most creative and innovative ideas to help drive a brand or nonprofit organization’s story forward. Global winners of each category (a brand and a nonprofit) will be selected and awarded with an exclusive trip to the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity 2012 to be Microsoft Advertising’s VIP guests for one full week!

The competition encourages participants to have their content entry built around various Microsoft products such as MSN, Mobile, Windows Live, Xbox, Messenger.  Here in Canada, local judges include Paula Gignac, President, IAB Canada and Jen Holgate, Senior Vice President, Digital at Starcom MediaVest Group Canada.  Globally, judges include David Sable, Global Chief Executive Officer, Y&R and Maria Luisa Francoli Plaza, Global CEO of MPG and Havas Media North America.
