Pando Networks: 38 Million Will Download Online Games In 2011

Online gaming continues to be a huge industry, last week we say Zynga, the maker of FarmVille and CityVille issue its IPO that helped them raise $1 billion, which also makes it the largest US internet IPO since Google raised $1.9 billion back in 2004.  Pando Networks, compiled some data to produce an infographic that shows that the number of people downloading free-to-play online games grew by 450% between 2009 and 2011. According to the study, the increase in players has come from a number of large titles — such as Lord of the Rings Online .
