Virgin Mobile Canada launched this latest campaign earlier this week in which they ask Canadians to “Do Whatever It Takes” to help end youth homelessness. Virgin Mobile Canada is partnering with Virgin Mobile USA and Virgin Unite, the non-profit foundation of the Virgin Group, to kick off a new fundraising program to end youth homelessness across Canada and the United States.
DoWhateverItTakes.org empowers users to pick a stunt and raise cash for Virgin Unite and Virgin Mobile’s RE*Generation Movement, Virgin is looking for Canadians to do a crazy, whacky or interesting stunt once they’ve hit their fundraising goal. All donations will go right to Virgin Unite’s and Virgin Mobile’s RE*Generation initiative to help provide crucial services and resources to create bigger futures for homeless and at-risk youth.
“Youth homelessness is an ongoing issue that we simply can’t afford to ignore. There are more than 65,000 homeless youth in Canada. With a program like this, we can harness the passion of our Members and all of their friends and families to have some fun while supporting an amazing cause,” said Andrew Bridge, Managing Director, Virgin Mobile Canada. “Do Whatever It Takes will spread awareness of the issue and get people to show off their desire for change. Whether you’re donating to a pledge or setting up your own challenge, you’ll be making a huge difference for at-risk youth in need – and you may even get to show off your wild side at the same time!”
Virgin Mobile and Virgin Unite have enlisted the help of popular YouTubers and bloggers, including Michael Buckley, Toby Turner, Corey Vidal, and Timothy De La Ghetto to spread awareness for the campaign.
