Hopper Raises $8 For Travel Search Startup

A Montreal-based startup called Hopper has closed a round of financing to the tune or $8 million led by Atlas Venture, with previous investor Brightspark Ventures, as they try to tackle the travel search space.  They want to go beyond the generic search feature that most sites provide and offer a deeper “intelligence search” queries according to an interview Founder Frederic Lalonde had with Xconmy.  The article also points that the company plans to move its headquarters from Montreal to Cambridge, MA due to a stronger talent pool there.
