He shared with us last month that he was leaving Proximity Canada and we had a few assumptions of where he’d go next, but it looks like Matt Di Paola has found his new home. MediaCom company has appointed Matt as their new Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer of MediaCom Canada. His role will include strategy and digital leadership, insight & research, business science, content development and analytics. He will also be responsible for leading new product and service development initiatives and will report directly to MediaCom Canada’s CEO Jamie Edwards.
Previously he was with Proximity Canada as SVP, Managing Director after joining the company in 2007 and helping it grow from 40 people to a staff of more than 200.
He began his career in marketing communications and public relations at Harbinger Communications, working primarily in the consumer packaged goods and financial industries with clients such as Effem Foods, Tabasco, and TD. He has also worked in a succession of development and management roles at Devlin Applied Design, Leo Burnett and Tribal DDB Toronto.
